We are always here to help and answer any questions you may have. You’ll be speaking with Helen, Bill or Eric directly. We’re a small, caring kind of place and don’t have an anonymous answering service. You can get in touch with us by email or phone regarding questions about your order or any other questions you may have. We check email messages twice a day, every day, including weekends.
We’re on the West Coast of Canada so keep that in mind when you call our toll free number (for North America only) and we’re here from 9:30 AM to 9 PM PST Monday to Friday at 877-689-5858. We may be busy in the studio so please just leave a message and leave your number very very clearly and we will get back to you asap. You can count on that.
Payment Options
We do accept Visa and Mastercard as forms of credit card payment and also Paypal. By the way you don’t need a Paypal account in order to pay using Paypal. We recommend if using Paypal to hold off using it until we send you the total cost, including shipping and applicable taxes.
If you ‘d rather not use your credit card online, you can call us at toll free (North America only) 877-689-5858 or email us with your order information, your address and phone number where you can be reached. We will then call you for your credit card information. We will also accept money orders. When we call we’ll also discuss your shipping requirements.
Privacy Policy
You can be assured that Summer House Studio will never sell, loan, rent, trade or give away any personal information that you offer during your visit. We respect your privacy. Any personal information provided will only to be used for processing an order and shipping your package to your address or to your gift recipients address.
International Shipping - Duties and Fees
Customers are responsible for all international custom and duty fees. These fees are in addition to, and not included in, the cost of shipping. As a business we must declare all items as merchandise. We are not allowed to mark items as a "gift".
Sales Tax
We collect 7% BC sales tax plus 5% GST on all orders shipped to addresses in BC and 5% GST on all orders shipped to other provinces in Canada. Residents in other provinces and the US and are responsible for complying with local provincial or state tax laws.
Shipping
All orders will usually be processed and shipped out in 2 to 3 business days.
We’ll ship world wide. Addresses outside of the continental US and Canada will be shipped via Canada Post unless you indicate otherwise.
We ship to addresses within the Continental United States and Canada ship via UPS FedEx Ground or Canada Post. Most items ship within 7 to 10 days. Transit times may vary due to destination, and also be affected by peak periods. Please order early in prime gift giving seasons like Christmas.
Obviously, all shipping costs are determined by the weight of the items purchased, the size of the package, the method of shipping chosen and the destination address. If you have any questions regarding shipping, please email us or call us toll free (North America only ) 877-689-5858, 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM Pacific Standard Time.
When you fill out our order form we will contact you by phone to obtain your purchasing and shipping information as well as your payment options. If paying by Paypal, wait until we have given you the total cost of the item plus shipping and handling, before putting through your payment. Shipping fees are paid by the buyer and are nonrefundable.
Insurance, Tracking and Delivery
Once an order is given to a shipping carrier, the package then becomes that carrier's responsibility and Summer House Studio is no longer liable. Summer House Studio will insure up to $120 on the item sent. We will also email you with the tracking number so that you can follow the package to it’s destination.
We insist on signature confirmation on all of our packages not only to ensure it gets to its destination safe and sound, but also to guard against fraud. Signature confirmation also ensures that the correct person received the item and that it was not left in a vulnerable spot for theft. If your item is a gift, we’re sure you would prefer knowing your gift arrived and was received by the intended recipient.
Returns
If for some reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase you may return it within 14 days of delivery. Your money will be refunded (less shipping costs) provided there is no damage.
If the item sent is incorrect, we will replace it with the correct item after the incorrect item is returned to us in good condition. In that case, we will be responsible for shipping costs and will reimburse shipping costs with our apologies, of course.
Of course we’ll do our best to package our items well, but with the determined efforts of some shippers, damage may occur. Please inspect your items within 24 hours after delivery. If your purchase was received damaged please report it to us and the shipper immediately and retain all materials including packing for damage inspection. Do not send it back directly to us until the issue has been resolved. Please do send us an email, or give us a call toll free 1-877-689-5858 (North America only) 9 AM -9 PM PST and let us know about the problem. We will direct you regarding returns from there.
Out of Stock Items
We do our best to keep our inventory topped up. If by rare chance you have chosen a Cast Stone piece that is not in stock manufacturing time will include curing and drying. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks. We know that once your order is made, you are anxious to receive it. We will do our best to ship as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
