Now that the show is behind us and done, we’ve had a few moments to assess it all. And I must admit that we were quite pleased with our display which as I wrote in my last post required a bit of thought. We weren’t allowed to put screws in the bench anywhere to hang our sculptures so we had to come up with a display that solved that problem and also set off the sculptures while still complimenting the site. I’d say we did all right.
Here are the before and after photos of the display.

Before setting up

Ta Dah!
This time we concentrated on just our sculptures and I think that was a good move. We were not distracted by talking about mosaic classes and could really concentrate on anyone looking over our sculptures. This gave us a chance to answer any questions people had and get some feedback too. I’ve done a separate blog entry just on the questions and our answers concerning the sculptures on the next entry. Please have a look.
We always enjoy meeting the dogs that accompany their owners to these shows. These two just kept turning their heads just as I took the photo, but you can see they are kinda cute.

Cute little Papillion

First class transportation, her own stroller.
This big sweetheart of a fellow was rescued by the present owners, who were artists at the show. He had been badly treated but was now living the life of Riley . In fact he’s living so well now that he’s had to go on a diet. We always like seeing a dog get a happy ending.

Lucky dog
We had a great time, sold a lot of sculptures and made quite a few people happy. On the way home we delivered my latest sculpture, Floral Meditation to a very surprised and pleased wife, a gift from her husband. They gave us a tour of their beautiful garden and we’re sure our sculptures will look right at home. He gave himself a gift too, of an Oak Greenman.

My latest sculpture
This weekend was the debut for this sculpture and I was really pleased with all the positive feedback.
All in all, even with a little rain, the setting was gorgeous, and we had a great time.

Brava and Bravo Helen and Bill, and one for Eric too! These wonderful sculptures will find their way into people’s hearts and homes, as they are beginning to do already. Well done and congrats too on a great showing.
