Of course, if you start to collect Santas you will run into the work of these wonderful artists. I first discovered Erika Oller and her “More Chocolate Please ” ornament in Hawaii of all places. I couldn’t resist the charm she brings to her art. Her Santa Claus’s eyes say it all don’t they? And then who can resist a Mickey Mouse Santa? We all grew up singing M-I-C-K-E-Y….well you know the rest. As for the backdrop, I have been slowly finding more and more of Ursula Dodge’s tiles. There is something about the droll and bored expressions that she brings to her characters that I find irresistible and that’s not even taking in the fact that I love her colors! So there you have it, my only “Name” ornaments so far. But then I only collect what really grabs me, don’t care about trends and all that. Makes it all so much easier.
