Ok , as promised way back on December 1st, here are the Awful Santas. Well, in my opinion they’re awful, but for various reasons. First the skinny one on the left is almost OK, but somehow misses it. However, he does get points for eyes which are kinda nice. Then, there is the Santa Claus in the middle. Man, he looks pretty scary to me, like all of a sudden his arms will come up and he’ll start lurching toward you with that wild look in his eyes. Now, the guy on the right, Bill and I disagree on. Bill doesn’t think he’s so awful looking but I really hate that odd fleshy face look. He should have had some color somewhere, cheeks, nose, hey even eyebrows would have helped. And then last, but scariest, is the Santa snowball. Well, we all decided that that was what it supposed to be when I got it last summer. He’s really kind of freaky, with that mad look, but he’s got friction wheels and can really move it across the kitchen floor!

Hi Helen,
I finally got ’round to viewing your Santa’s and they’re so wonderful. Each has his own personality and you have brought them each to life via your thoughts about them. Cool…
Lia
Helen, love your commentary…
I think the skinny St. Nick is a bit older than his younger buddies, who likely each have a wife (except for Stephen and Phil) who keeps them well fed and fat. I know what you mean about the middle guy, something about that overly pink and pouchy lower lip… and then the Burl Ives character on the right, well, I guess it depends on how you feel about him, as a kid I never did take a fancy to overly large and jolly men. And yes, the Santa snowball, yikes! It looks like he’s about to plunge his little green spears into a bowl of mashed potatoes, or worse, himself!
But hey, oh what fun…
