We are the Bushells, Helen, Bill and son Eric, an eclectic family of fine artists creating sculpture, mosaics and paintings for the home and garden.
Let us introduce ourselves...
Helen and Bill, an artistically bent loving couple for the last 40 years created Summer House Studio in 1995. Before and since that time Bill has been involved with painting and showing his work, creating book covers for many authors, designing for corporations and now creating sculptures in his own distinct style for our new line of garden and home sculptures.
Helen has been painting, creating mosaics and then teaching mosaics and creativity to many students over the years. She now has added creating sculpture. Check out her new blog for ideas about inspiration, getting creative, recycling, gardening, mosaics and anything else that catches her fancy.
Most recently our son Eric has joined us and inspired us to create with him a line of garden sculpture. Eric has a natural talent for sculpting. He is also our head man in the casting department. His sculptures almost always feature an expressive face, be it a laughing horned grape man with a beard of grapes to a green man sprouting oak leaves.
